Paul Hamlyn Foundation created a funding directory website to provide a portal for information on funding opportunities for individual artists and composers. The resource is based on a mapping exercise carried out in 2011 as part of a review of the PHF Awards for Artists, which supports visual artists and composers. The site includes a comprehensive list of competitions, bursaries and award for artists.
The website does not form a completely comprehensive list, and there will be sources of funding that the Foundation have not included. The site will be updated periodically to correct any out-of-date information or to add newly emerging funding streams.
Paul Hamlyn Foundation is an independent grant-making organisation that works to help people fulfil their potential and enjoy a better quality of life. It operates three UK programmes – in the Arts, Education and Learning and Social Justice – and a programme of support for NGOs in India. The PHF Awards for Artists are a Special Initiative of the Arts programme.
