The Arts Council in partnership with Derry City Council is hosting EU funding for arts & culture intensive workshops, delivered by Visiting Arts (UK Cultural Contact Point for the Culture Programme) on 12th March in L’Derry and 13th March in Belfast. European partnership working continues to present huge possibilities for arts and cultural organisations from Northern Ireland. To help organisations become aware of the opportunities and support them to develop the necessary skills and knowledge these two intensive workshops will be delivered by:
- Yvette Vaughan Jones, Chief Executive, Visiting Arts, and
- Christoph Jankowski, Manager, UK Cultural Contact Point, Visiting Arts.
During each highly informative and practical workshop, Yvette and Christoph will cover:
- EU funding opportunities to support culture related projects
- How to build a good partnership, and a good project
- Why do international work?
- Getting clear on objectives
- Practical issues:
- partnerships & collaborations
- language and customs
- funding
- visas and legalities.
Participants will engage in a number of exercises to develop project ideas, create transborder co-operation projects, define clear project objectives and learn how prepare to work with different cultures.
