Community Arts Partnership supports Ten Pieces Classical Music initiative for Primary School Children across the UK

Community Arts Partnership is delighted to support the Ten Pieces Classical Music initiative for Primary School Children across the UK.

Pieces is a new initiative for Key Stage 2 pupils, led by BBC Learning and the BBC Performing Groups, focusing on classical music and the creativity emerging from listening to this style of music.

Ten Pieces will run over a full school year, beginning in the autumn term of 2014, with a week of special events and culminating in a major celebratory finale in the summer of 2015. The aim of the project is to introduce a generation of children to a range of classical music hoping through that to inspire them to use music as a stimulus for their own creativity.

There are more than 200 Champions supporting the project at a local level, including music education hubs, music services and specialist music, dance and arts organisations. Get involved now – find out how to become a Champion for the Ten Pieces programme at bbc.co.uk/tenpieces
