Community Foundation for Northern Ireland – Localgiving.com in NI

In this time of austerity, cuts and the uncertainty of future budgets charities and community groups need to be thinking differently about fundraising.

Localgiving and Community Foundation Northern Ireland are offering local organisations the chance to try online fundraising and through the Big Lottery Fund’s support, this is completely free. There is on offer 100 fully funded annual memberships to localgiving.com for eligible groups in Northern Ireland.

Localgiving was founded in 2008 by Marcelle Speller OBE as a vehicle to help local charities and community groups to connect with people, fundraise online and take control of their future. Since the organisation’s inception it has assisted over 4,000 charities to raise over £5.5 million.

Unlike other online fundraising platforms Localgiving works with organisations not registered with the Charities Commission NI providing them with access to online fundraising and Gift Aid.

A year’s Localgiving membership will allow you to access:

  • Match funding campaigns- where online donations to you are doubled.
  • Allows all groups to access automatic Gift Aid on eligible donations – that’s an extra 25% on top of donations.
  • Access to free, comprehensive training covering how to make the most out of online fundraising, social media and using technology to reach people.
  • Support through our NI co-ordinator and Helpdesk team, 0300 111 2340, help@localgiving.com.

Julianne Skillen, Localgiving’s NI Co-ordinator said

‘We are delighted to be offering this service to local groups who are searching for new ways to bring in income through donations. This is a great opportunity for organisations to raise their profile and attract unrestricted funds.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to raise awareness of your organisation, its cause and attract donations.
