Voluntary Board Members – closing 27 Nov

Deep Down Arts and Wellbeing wish to recruit Voluntary Board Members to help develop our new and growing creative community based in County Down.

Deep Down is primarily a mental health group and has been set up by people with lived experience to protect and improve the wellbeing of the community through creative arts. We run safe space creative groups for those with lived experience of mental health and we are developing a Wellbeing Network of artists who use their skills to support mental health.

We would particularity welcome applications from people with:

  • Lived Experience of mental health, disability or any other issue impacting on wellbeing.
  • Experience of working in the mental health, creative, social care or community sectors.
  • Experience of governance, financial management or community development.
  • Other experience relevant to our activities, detailed on our website.

We anticipate that the Board will meet once per quarter in County Down and that there may be a need for some people to attend meetings via Skype at times. Our Board aims to be entirely inclusive and we value the co-production model where people with lived experience and learned experience collaborate on a level playing field.
