Are you looking to find a clearer focus and / or a renewed artistic ambition for your work?
CCA Derry~Londonderry and Golden Thread Gallery are teaming up with Visual Artists Ireland to host two days of Peer Critique for artists with Judith Carlton, Director of the contemporary art gallery CGP London.
Everyone knows that making art can be a solitary pursuit. Developing concepts can take place in solitude. This can make it very difficult for an artist to gauge if they are on the right track in their work. VAI’s Peer Crit is intended to assist your progress as an artist.
It is an opportunity to learn more about your work, your artistic practice, and yourself
The sessions will provide a vital space for artists to show and discuss their work with peers and experienced practitioners in a constructive forum. Participating artists will make short presentations on their own practice after which a constructive discussion will be led by Judith Carlton.
When: Thursday 6 December 2018
Time: 10am to 3pm
Location: Golden Thread Gallery, 84-94 Great Patrick St, Belfast BT1 2LU
Fee: £20 / £10 (VAI Members)
