Belfast Philharmonic Come and Sing – Handel’s Messiah – 2 Feb

Handel’s Messiah is one of the most frequently performed oratorios in the Western canon, featuring the epic Hallelujah chorus. If you have always wanted to sing it, want to sing it again, or would just like the chance to sing alongside a professional orchestra and soloists, all singers are welcome to the annual Belfast Philharmonic Come and Sing.

Handel wrote the music for the Messiah in only twenty-four days, and the choir be putting this concert together in just one!

The assembled choir will bring together extracts from the Messiah in a single day, rehearsing in the morning before being joined by the Ulster Orchestra and soloists in the afternoon for a short concert. If you’ve ever wanted to sing one of the greatest oratorios in a friendly atmosphere while getting some professional instruction, please join us!

Singers £20 (Student singers £15), with £2 off for anyone bringing their own score.
Concert begins 4pm and tickets for the performance only (without singing) are £10.
