Trainee Video Journalist – closing 31 Jan

Brief description of role:

Below The Radar is seeking to appoint a Trainee Video Journalist to work on their Irish language multi-media platform ‘Meon Eile’.

Applicants must have the ability to shoot and edit short features, be fluent in written and spoken Irish and have a strong and proven track record on working across Irish language content. This trainee position is supported by Northern Ireland Screen’s Irish Language Broadcast Fund.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent spoken & written communication skills in Irish & English;
  • Ability to shoot and edit short packages and features;
  • Ability to edit on Final Cut Pro or similar video editing suite;
  • Strong Journalistic skills;
  • An interest in digital journalism and how video is consumed on the web and Smart TVs.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to supply accurate and reliable research.

Beidh an té a cheapfar in ann pacáistí gairide a thaifead agus a chur in eagar.  Beidh ardchaighdeán Gaeilge, idir scríofa agus labhartha, ag an té a cheapfar agus beidh táithí acu ag obair in earnáil na meán Gaeilge. Beidh an post seo páirt-maoinithe ag an Chiste Craoltóireachta Gaeilge de chuid Scáileán Thuaisceart Éireann.
