Two Minute Masterpiece is back – only this time it’s bigger and better!
The Two Minute Masterpiece project, where BBC NI funds emerging film talent in co-operation with BBC Arts and Northern Ireland Screen, is looking to build on the success of the previous two years.
This year, the initiative will be holding two calls for ideas and giving 10 aspiring directors the chance to create a short film – with an artistic aspect at its core. BBC NI is also doubling the production fund for each film. This time around each successful filmmaker will be awarded £2000 towards realising their cinematic vision.
For this first call of 2019, BBC NI want to give another five female producer/directors in Northern Ireland the opportunity to have their voices heard.
Through Two Minute Masterpiece, aspiring female filmmakers who are selected to take part have the chance to:
Pitch their ideas to leading experts from the field of TV and film. Receive mentoring and guidance to help develop their ideas and projects.
Avail of a production fund of £2000 to help with filmmaking
Screen their film in front of a live audience
How to get involved
Do you have an idea that you can see on the big screen? To enter, send an email with your details and an idea (no more than 500 words) to firstname.lastname@example.org – BBC NI will be in touch to get a copy of your CV and show reel (if applicable).
The closing date for entries is Monday the 25th of February. Don’t forget to check our T&Cs before entering on our site at https://bbc.in/2T99itZ. Please note that we will also be opening another call in late 2019 that will be open to all budding filmmakers, regardless of gender.
