Who’s streets? Your streets! – closing 1 Mar

In Your Space Circus are proud to announce our fantastic upcoming street arts youth festival.

Thanks to Peace 4 Funding, Derry city and Strabane District Council has sparked the exciting Take Back The Streets festival, aligning with Youth 19‘s campaign.

In Your Space Circus will be teaming up with Jump NI/The Playground, (Parkour), UV Arts (Graffiti) and dance company Create Dance to develop an amazing festival celebrating street art. It is a completely free project for 12-24 year olds living in the Derry/Donegal area. Grounded in good relations themes, and Derry’s young talent at its heart, and will have as its end a Youth Street Art Festival which will bring together performances in Circus, Dance, Parkour and Graffiti art.

No previous experience required, the participants pick one element that they would like to learn about. It would involve one 90min workshop a month (evenings/weekends) during March, April, May and June (dates still tbc); a week long performance academy beginning 1st July and the grand finale festival at the end of the week.

Spaces are filling up fast, so anyone interested must sign up before 1st March. If you have any questions or need any more information, please give me a ring.

We really want to make sure that we reach children and young people who, for whatever reason, don’t get a chance to take part in something like this.
