WorkFlow is a series of studies of artists and craftspeople at work by portrait artist Orliath Cullinane. The paintings and drawings illuminate the layers that make up the artists’ relationships with their practices and their workspaces.
Orliath Cullinane creates each artwork from life as a collaborative process with the subjects, involving an exchange of energies between observer and observed and when it gathers momentum and rhythm to create a sense of flow, symbolic elements in the scene come forward to be emphasised in the work.
In discovering the role of gesture, expression, symbolism and mise en scene, the work intends to capture a quiet, transformative depth and profundity in the rhythm of mundane tasks.
Images presented in this exhibition are a work-in-progress that have been made to date over the past 15 months by the artist.
WorkFlow will run at South West Acute Hospital Foyer pop up expo during the 6 June – 31 July 2019 launching on Thursday 6 June 2019 from 5:00 – 6:30pm at the New South West Acute Hospital Foyer Enniskillen. Everyone is welcome
