The 19th Belfast Film Festival – 11-20 April

The 19th Belfast Film Festival is gearing up and here at festival towers things are starting to heat up.

The Film Festival will be launching our full programme on the 13th March so keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for some really exciting news!

You have probably already heard the news that Aamir Khan, one of the BIGGEST names in Indian cinema is coming to Belfast!

The Belfast Film Festival organisers are absolutely delighted to welcome him to the festival and that he will take part in an “In Conversation” event in the Waterfront Hall on Tuesday 16th April at 7:45pmto celebrate his body of film work.

Tickets will be on sale from late February. You can get these from the Belfast Film Festival website and the Waterfront Hall website. Be prepared – these tickets are going to sell out!

To whet your appetite the Film Festival decided to put on some early releases.

These include Pop Up Puppet Cinema which reenacts classics like Back to the Future and Jaws, a screening of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom in the Titanic Ballroom along with dance demonstrations and a rather excellent selection of New Cinema from the US, France and Italy.
