Specialist Performing Arts Week for Teens – Choose ONE Specialist Area from Acting/Dance/Stage Design – 29 July to 2 Aug

Take part in week long workshops and have the opportunity of working towards a sharing of work at the end of the week.

Acting

explore a range of techniques and styles from method acting to contemporary physical theatre, develop skills in creating a character, work on the process of putting a scene ‘on its feet’, develop physical and vocal skills.

Dance

develop dance techniques and skills in a range of styles including musical theatre, focus on performance skills required to perform to an audience, develop own self choreography skills, build confidence through movement on the stage.

Theatre Design

investigate a variety of stage design styles, create a mood board and a model box, gather materials, develop scene painting skills, create a stage set.

Dates: Monday 29 July – Friday 2 August
Times: 10am – 4pm

Cost: £65
Suitable ages: Suitable for all – from beginners to those considering a career in the performing arts or theatre design.
