Queer Us Folk Belfast Pride Exhibition – to 31 July

UsFolk design & illustration agency is proud to once again team up with Belfast Pride Festival to present Queer Us Folk, a brand new illustration exhibition celebrating some of the individuals at the heart of our luminous LGBTQ+ community.

Featuring specially developed work from a curated selection brilliant local and international illustrators, Queer Us Folk will pay tribute to these diverse and powerful community leaders and the amazing work they do. Expect compelling portraits of activists and organisers, charity leaders, drag icons, performers, musicians, politicians, writers and everything in between.

Northern Ireland remains the only part of the UK & Ireland not to have legislated for marriage equality, and LGBTQ+ people here are enveloped in a widespread mental health crisis. We feel it’s more vital than ever to highlight the work being done to bring us forward, and to inspire people to remember the power they yield in unapologetically being who they are. The folks championed in Queer Us Folk – both sung and unsung – can serve as a reminder that there is a real hope and momentum for change in Northern Ireland.

Proudly sponsored by HSFBelfast, McGowans NI and Maverick Belfast.

Venue: Artcetera Studio Belfast, 43b Rosemary Street, Belfast
Dates: to 31/07/2019
