The crazy, creative artist community in east Belfast is back with their second seasonal bazaar, and festive fun day.
Belfast, Northern Ireland: Vault Artist Studios is an independent charity currently based in the former Rupert Stanley college building. It is the home of over 100 creatives in East Belfast and this year they are celebrating the festive season with a huge arts market on Sunday 1st December from 12 until 5pm.
Last year saw Vault make history with the first arts market of this size and scope in the city.
With 90% of the market being made up of original artworks Vault are building on the success of last year and will be bringing you what is probably the biggest arts market in the North? The Island?? The World??? Giving you the opportunity to ditch the mass-produced, imported plastic goods marketed on Black Friday in favour of something truly unique, locally produced, handmade, and with a focus on sustainability and ethically produced for your friends and family. There has never been as many artists selling their work under one roof here so there really will be something for everyone.
In addition to artists from the studio in East Belfast, Vault Artist Studios has invited artists, crafters, musicians and performers from across Northern Ireland to join them for what will be one of the biggest art markets of the season. As well as live music, outside bar area provided by The Sunflower Pub, hot food and warm Christmas drinks, stallholders will be selling fine art, handmade jewellery, vinyl records, rope crafts, paintings, books and prints, circus props, tools, t-shirts, and much more. The building will also have a special exhibition of art work in its unique ‘Pink Gallery’.
Connor Kerr, Another World Belfast, members of Vault Artist studios writes that:
“The Vault xmas market last year was our first introduction to the building and people that make up this wonderful, crazy, creative Vault family. Vault being a community led charity makes it a natural fit for us and we get to run our events from this amazing space and feel part of this wonderful supportive community. We are privileged to be selling again this year at what promises to be the event of the season.
- This is a family friendly event and is free entry for everyone
- Please note bar area is strictly 18+
- This event is part of a yearlong programme of events and workshops
