20:21 – #TakeHeartMakeArt Community Engagement Programme – Open for Applications – closing 5 June

In these times of uncertainty, CAP is looking to invite you, our stakeholders and community organisations, to help us to help you to maintain connections and get creative.

In the early stages of COVID-19 it has been very difficult to maintain a sense of normality. It has now become clear that this is a marathon and not a sprint. The Executive has released their approach to easing restrictions.

NI Executive Covid-19 Recovery Strategy (pdf)

Understanding that things are going to be very different for a long time requires a huge mental and indeed physical adjustment as we start to understand the impact on our lives and those of our loved ones. We want to assist with creative ways for your community centre or your group to stay engaged with each other and make art together. We may be physically distanced but we can still be socially and creatively connected.

Given the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, we will be looking to roll out a digital programme initially, with specific on-line support and interaction. But we sincerely hope that we can move to a more face-to-face ‘live’ programme as and when restrictions are relaxed ie at step 4 and step 5. When those steps become a reality only time will tell.
