We know it’s a strange and uncertain time right now but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun this Summer at GRSNI! So, we’ve got a brand new online camp ready to roll out and all we need is YOU to come along and become multi-talented legends with us for a week this August 17th – 21st (with a pre-camp online hangout on Friday 14th). Along with our super cool tutors and interns you will learn to make your own online magazine & podcast, learn how to livest ream and write your own songs AND make new friends in a welcoming & supportive online community of likeminded people all via Zoom!
Girls Rock School NI Online Camp is a week long online camp running from Monday 17th August – Friday 21st August 2020 on Zoom. It provides girls* (*GRSNI welcomes applicants who are female, trans and/or gender non-conforming) aged 14-17 with the opportunity to make friends, attend workshops and learn the basics of a wide range of digital media, songwriting & performance skills. No musical experience is needed AT ALL!
In addition, there will be a community and well-being element to the camp. Our camps provide an opportunity for young people to develop their musical, creative and performing abilities in an environment that is also specifically designed to develop and build their confidence and self-esteem.
On the first day we will all get to know each other and campers will be introduced to the tutors and interns for the week. They will then begin workshops which they will continue to progress through during the week, making and creating awesome stuff in the process! Over the course of the camp there may also be guest performances and Q&A sessions with inspiring female musicians from the music industry. The camp will end in a final livestream where campers will perform songs and share the work they have produced during the week!
