Accidental Theatre’s No Touching Theatre Festival – 16 to 18 Sept

NO TOUCHING THEATRE FESTIVAL is a curated festival of new work in Belfast, on 16th-18th September 2020. Embracing social distancing, there will be no touching.

Like many, the theatre industry was hit hard by COVID-19. We generally rely on large gatherings and audiences being in close quarters.

Lockdown meant the closure of venues and cancellation of many productions. So in the height of it, between being unemployed, unfunded and flush with free time, a few of us got together and decided to make some socially distanced theatre.

We wanted to give other theatre artists a platform to present new work and to make it possible for individual artists to be involved.

We decided to call it NO TOUCHING THEATRE FESTIVAL.

Our goal is to create a safe space for audiences to experience live theatre and for artists to work under new parameters.

The spectacular Accidental Theatre gave us a home and so it’s on!
