Ards Art Centre’s Virtual Creative Peninsula celebration – throughout August

Where: Ards Arts Centre’s Facebook Page
When: Throughout August

#CreativePeninsula #MeetTheArtist

Each August Ards Arts Centre host the fantastic Creative Peninsula festival, an Ards and North Down Borough Council initiative which celebrates the wealth of creative talent from professional visual artists and makers of the borough.

The festival, which began in 2001, is one of the highlights of the Arts events calendar, and a flagship element of the national August Craft Month.

We are so disappointed that we are unable to host the Creative Peninsula festival in person this year, however we would like to celebrate virtually by showcasing some of the Creative Peninsula artists and makers online allowing people the opportunity to engage and learn more about what they do.

As part of our online Creative Peninsula celebration, we are showcasing some of these talented artists and makers by bringing you an online ‘Meet the Artist’ series, a ‘Virtual Studio Visit’ video series, as well as showcasing some of the other creative venues from the borough.

Please show your support, and if you like what you see, please visit the artist’s Facebook pages and websites as many continue to sell their work online.

We look forward to celebrating the Creative Peninsula in person with you in future, but in the meantime, please keep an eye on Ards Arts Centre’s Facebook page over the next month as we celebrate the Creative Peninsula virtually!
