booksvscigarettes: Part ii The Empty Space – 19 Sept

Join CCA on Saturday 19 September  for the next booksvscigarettes reading group event when we’ll be reading The Empty Space by Peter Brook. This event coincides with CCA’s Reciprocal Residencies exhibition. The text has been selected in relation to the work of artist Niamh Seana Meehan. The reading will be accompanied by a short article selected by Niamh titled 11 Statements Around art Writing (2011) by Maria Fusco.

This event is free and open to the public. You can email CCA for a copy at info@cca-derry-londonderry.org if you’d like to read in advance but there’s no need to prepare before – just turn up and we’ll read together.

booksvscigarettes is CCA’s intermittent reading group. It takes its name from George Orwell’s essay which assessed the price and value of reading against other pursuits.

Date: Saturday 19 September 2020
