BookTrust – Director of Northern Ireland Office / Senior Stakeholder & Engagement Manager – closing 2 Nov

BookTrust, Northern Ireland are currently a “work from home” organisation due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. This will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in line with government guidance.

Contract: Full time or part time,permanent

Work pattern: 3 days (0.6 FTE) or 5 days (to include undertaking of additional remit of Strategic Portfolio Lead)

Salary: £45,000 – £53,000 per annum commensurate with experience (pro-rated for 3 days)

This is an exciting time to be joining BookTrust – our 2020 strategy sets out a new focus prioritising work that supports families in greatest need. Working at a strategic level, to influence policy and decision making nationally, and engage with delivery partners across Northern Ireland, the Senior Stakeholder and Engagement Manager will ensure we deliver on BookTrust’s new strategic objectives. The role includes ensuring the current and future BookTrust offer is securely funded and strategically and sustainably embedded nationally. This role will act as the senior representative – Director of Northern Ireland office, overseeing the small team operating from that office.

As an effective leader the successful candidate will have knowledge of the Northern Irish Political, Governmental and broader stakeholder and policy-making context, and demonstrable experience of relationship management with local/national partners, government and funders. Knowledge of the early years, schools or children and families sector / policy context would be an advantage.

This role is offered on a 3 days a week contract, if you believe you have something to offer to this role but are seeking a 5-day contract there is the opportunity to expand this role to incorporate the additional remit of Strategic Portfolio Lead across England, Wales and NI.
