Art & Movement Educator, Gail Mahon of MATERIAL MOVEMENT PRACTICE at STUIDIOMA_HON will lead a workshop exploring physical and tactile skills for sand drawing and casting sculptural objects made by physical actions.
Participants will create a sculpture to take home by engaging with the natural landscape at the beach through movement.
Participants will also have online access to the creative MAKERS & MOVERS guide to physical practice information sheet so they can continue their creative practice at home.
NOTE: Please wear weather (wet water/sand weather) appropriate clothing and clothing that allows for free movement. Meet at the entrance of Downhill Beach. 2m social distancing will be in place throughout the workshop and hand sanitiser will be made available.Suitable for ages 18+
This project is receiving financial support through Council’s Good Relations Programme. The purpose of the event / activity is to bring people together, using creative arts as a method of connecting people from different community and cultural backgrounds using shared spaces (whether online or in a specific location) so that we can build positive relations using the medium of the creative arts.
