This year’s Trash Fashion project is well and truly up and running. From Belfast to Newry and up to the Maiden City, our dedicated team of Trash Fashion artists are spreading their magic of fashion creativity. Despite Covid restrictions and with safety guidelines in mind, CAP artists have been reaching out to our communities and isolated participants.
Our artists have been working their socks off and have overcome many hurdles to keep the show on the road, from Zoom sessions, videos, to art packs there’s no stopping us. Here is a sneak peak of a few works in progress. Don’t forget to check back our page to see the finished creations.
Cithrah Foundation – Artist Anne Quail
Work packs dropped off to Belfast group in Selah house for their second zoom session. The group are personalising hoodies and aprons and masks with themes from iconic media portrayals of female empowerment and more personal elements.
International women’s group – Artist Anne Quail
The Bangor based The International Ladies group went with a sea theme in their mask making first zoom session.
These very creative ladies are enjoying their Friday night zoom sessions and get together, so much so, that they have been customizing hats, silk painting scarves, and felting flowers.
The Jigsaw Project
These fun filled Christmas themed Art packs are ready to go all the way up to Derry. ho ho ho
Artist Pauline Harte has created these are inclusive art packs for children with special needs, who will be working alongside their siblings and parents. The art packs will be delivered to participants homes. We will be looking forward to show and tell images the end of this fun project.
