Empowering the Artist – Online Exhibition – FINAL Call – closing 11 Feb

This is an open call for artists of all disciplines and abilities to submit high res images (jpegs) of work for inclusion in our next online Empowering The Artist Exhibition of 2021.

For work to be considered for inclusion

Please submit high res Jpeg images of the work by 4.00p.m. Thursday 11th February by email to bluebellartsproject@hotmail.com 

Mark your email F.A.O. Frank Rafferty.

Work for inclusion must be accompanied with the following information

  1. Titles,
  2. Size/Dimensions of work,
  3. Materials/paints used.
  4. Price (if work is for sale),
  5. Contact details ( not available to anyone without the permission of the artist)
  6. Online Links to other work
  7. Artist Age or Age Range, e.g. Over 25, 25 or under

Each artist may submit as many pieces as they wish, for consideration but it may only be possible to exhibit a few pieces. Therefore please state your preferential order if submitting images of more than 3 pieces.

Whether you have previously exhibited or not. All work is welcome for consideration. But do not submit images of work which requires cropping out of frames, walls, easels, people, hands,etc., only images of the artworks will be considered for inclusion.

The Empowering The Artist Online Exhibition will go live on Monday 15th February 2021 on various social media platforms including: Bluebell Arts Derry Facebook group and page, Instagram page and elsewhere.

The Empowering The Artist Online exhibition will also be going live on the Bluebell Arts Derry YouTube channel on Wednesday 17th February 2021.

There will be an online Exhibition Launch event on Friday 19th February 2021

Official launch events will take place on  Bluebell Arts Derry Facebook

Artists will be able to talk to the public and other artists to discuss the work being exhibited

  1. There will also be a prize for the best work in the show which will be selected by our judges
  2. There will also be a prize for best work by an artist under the age of 25.
  3. An additional merit prize will be awarded for best work by any artist under 16
