Enabling Growth Fund – closing 12 Mar

The Enabling Growth Fund has been established through a partnership between The ARN Foundation, The Department of Communities and The Community Foundation.

This Match Philanthropy Fund is one of five new funds, each with a value of £100,000 set up with philanthropic funding donated by individuals, families, and charitable trusts which are matched by DfC.

The Enabling Growth Fund invites applications from the community and voluntary sector to develop approaches to growing service delivery for greater impact.

The fund will offer 6 grants of up to £15,000, plus mentoring support of up to 30 hours.

We want this fund to have enterprise development as a key focus, to enable growth of earned income as one key way to achieve greater financial resilience and self reliance and to improve your organisation’s capability in areas such as business development, leadership and impact.

This grant should put your charity in a stronger position to earn more income by scaling or developing an existing enterprising initiative or piloting a new idea. You will need to evidence how you will enable growth through this support.

Grant size: 6 grants of up to £15,000, plus mentoring support of up to 30 hours.

Priorities: We will prioritise those that have a clear plan and can evidence potential growth in terms of number of beneficiaries, impact, service delivery and income generation; We are keen to see innovative approaches to growth; We will not be prescriptive about the theme or issue your organisation will be trying to address. We will, however, want to ensure that the support is to meet a charitable purpose.
