An online workshop is taking place this week, Saturday 27th February @ 11am. To accompany her virtual exhibition Aesthetic Distance, Vera Ryklova holds an online public session at which a new piece of work will be founded. Using the power of language, the artist invites people to compose a piece of creative writing in response to her work.
Experience – thought – feeling – fantasy, any kind of self-expression provoked by the encounter with Ryklova’s exhibition, each participant is asked to portray what has been invoked through words. Ryklova will then transform this material into a new feature that will be presented alongside the virtual exhibition on the Cultúrlann’s website, crediting all writers.
This session takes place via zoom, runs for approx. 1 hr and is limited to a maximum of 11 people. Some familiarity with creative writing is required.
Participants should ensure they can download zoom. A video function is desirable.
This workshop will be facilitated in English.
