Shared Music of Dalriada – The Thatchers of Glenrae

The Shared Music of Dalriada project offered young people the chance to explore the shared musical heritage of the Glens of Antrim and the Mull of Kintyre.

This piece, The Thatchers of Glenrae, is the last of three pieces that the young musicians have worked on together. Written by an Irish labourer while working in ‘the shire of Argyle’, the song was chosen as an illustration of the shared nature of the music of Dalriada.
