An Irish artist based in Belfast, Anna Mckeever combined work and travel for ten years before moving home in 2016.
An international selling artist, Anna has a rapidly growing local and global reputation.
Predominantly a palette knife painter, Anna’s work is powerful and unapologetic. Use of texture and bold colour bring a palpable energy and vibrancy to her work. Inspired by both urban and rural Ireland, Anna’s work celebrates the spirit and warmth of Ireland’s landscape and people.
Anna’s new series, Beannacht, Blessings from Land & Sea, explores how landscape and art can bring healing and restoration to the soul. It will run from Friday 11th of June to Saturday the 19th of June at her Studio & Gallery, 455 Ormeau Road, Belfast. Anna will be launching a run of limited edition prints at the exhibition for a select number of pieces. These will be available exclusively at annamckeever.com
If you would like to attend the exhibition please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to book a slot.
“Celtic people have always had a unique affinity with the landscape – they spoke of the sisterhood of nature and the soul. Historically, we are people of the land. At our core – much like our landscape – our spirit is rugged, raw and unrefined. The Celts believed they were at the mercy of the land, sea and sky. They believed that the landscape had the power to heal and nurture. ” – Anna McKeever
“When you look at these pieces, I hope you slow down, and visit the part of you that has never been wounded. Take comfort that the strength of our landscape can hold whatever you are struggling to carry alone.” – Anna McKeever
