Nerve Centre – Senior Producer – closing 21 June

Senior Producer, £32,000–£38,000

Nerve Centre is Northern Ireland’s leading creative media arts centre. We are leading the delivery of Our Place in Space, the Northern Ireland commission as part of Festival UK* 2022, in partnership with artists Oliver Jeffers and Die Hexen, National Museums NI, Astrophysics Research Centre at Queen’s University Belfast, Big Motive, Microsoft, Taunt and the Northern Ireland Science Festival.

Our Place in Space is a unique experiment in astrophysics, augmented reality, landscape, visual art and play, asking what happens to your perspective on everything when you look back at earth from space.

The Senior Producer will be a highly motivated and creative producer who will support the delivery of this large-scale project. The role works in close collaboration with the Executive Producer and production team to manage the creative and practical logistics of delivering such a large and collaborative event.

This is a crucial role overseeing creative, production and resource management and policy implementation. This project involves working across Northern Ireland, in multiple locations and with various team members, freelancers and contractors.

The Senior Producer will be a proactive, solution-driven, organised individual who is confident managing teams and meeting multiple deadlines. You will be comfortable with both hands-on delivery and delegation, will bring an extensive knowledge of producing complex projects for diverse audiences and with a range of partners, and have a strong commitment to creating accessible art in the public realm.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Our Place in Space team to deliver a mass participation project of scale.
