Eco Artist Competition – closing 30 Sept

Competition details

We are inviting residents of all ages to enter our Eco Artist Competition for a chance to win some great prizes.

We want you to produce your own unique artwork (hand drawing, a painting, a piece of art using upcycled materials or digital art) that illustrates a particular area of concern within your community. It should contain a slogan or message as a ‘call to action’ to encourage people to improve their local environment.

Topics can include one or more of the following:

  • Litter or Illegal Dumping
  • Single-use plastic reduction
  • Reduce/reuse/recycle/repurpose

Age categories

There are four age categories:

  • 8 and under
  • 9 to 12
  • 17 and under
  • Adult (18 and over)

Each category will have one overall winner and two runners up.

Prizes

Each winner will receive an Eco Goodie Bag and have their artwork featured on the council website and social media.

Winners photos may also be used in future campaigns/promotions or exhibitions.

Deadlines and judging

The competition will run from  Friday 30th July to Thursday 30th September 2021 and will be judged by a cross-departmental team within the council.

Winners will be announced on the council’s social media channels and website during European Week for Waste Reduction from 20-28th November 2021.
