BFI Japan Season: Tokyo meets Belfast – 30 Oct, 4, 16, 21, 26, 30 Nov

Strand Arts Centre will be showcasing six Japanese films, each with discussions or creative workshops curated with the only Japanese visual artist based in Northern Ireland, Shiro MASUYAMA  増山 士郎.

Screening as part of Japan 2021: 100 years of Japanese Cinema, a UK-wide film season supported by National Lottery and BFI Film Audience Network.

  • 30th October, 10.30am – Listen (2016)
  • 4th November, 8.30pm – The Ring (1998)
  • 16th November, 8.15pm – Tokyo Sonata (2008)
  • 21st November, 4.15pm – Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984)
  • 26th November, 8.15pm – Junk Head (2021)
  • 30th November, 8.15pm – Shin Godzilla (2016)

Tickets: £6 with concessions available including our £4.50 ticket for 15-24 year olds.
