Fermanagh & Omagh District Council’s arts service is delighted to host this eclectic selection of new and established, local & international emerging art in a new format that is both affordable for everybody’s pocket as well as for the artists to create & present. Opportunities for artists to showcase and sell work recently have been hard to come by so exhibitions such as this one-are of great importance. This event serves not only as a platform for showing work and generating sales for our exhibitors but also as an occasion for the arts community to meet, network and celebrate in a high-profile cultural venue. Art in your Pocket will be on at Strule Arts Centre until 31 December 2021.  It then moves to The Ardhowen Theatre in Enniskillen, where it opens in February 2022. This year, two external adjudicators were invited by the Arts Service to select our three prize winning artists. We would like to extend our gratitude to the Council’s Arts Forum visual art advisors Noelle McAlinden (Fermanagh) & Geraldine O’Reilly (Omagh) for adjudicating this eclectic & quirky exhibition of miniature art work in November. First prize is for a solo exhibition in Strule Arts Centre, second prize is a two-week Artists Residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerrig, Co Monaghan. Third prize is £150 towards art materials.

The prize winners will be announced at the launch of the exhibition at Strule Arts Centre on Thursday 2 December.
