Craft Workshop Support Worker – closing 15 Nov

Camphill Community Glencraig are looking for Support Workers who will work as part of a community of individuals with a learning disability within the day opportunity workshops.

Salary: £11,431.68 per annum
Hours: 24 hours per week, 9am to 5pm 3 days a week
Contract: Permanent

Essential Criteria

  • NVQ level II or equivalent in Health and Social Care or associated discipline (this Criteria will be waived where the candidate has at least 12 months relevant experience in a day opportunities/social care setting)
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Registered or agreeable to applying for registration with the N. Ireland Social Care Council
  • At least six months experience in a caring and / or educational support field
  • Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Ability, experience, knowledge and/or an interest in Arts and Crafts.

Desirable Criteria

  • Qualification Arts and Crafts Designs
  • Experience in day opportunities or health and social care setting
  • Experience in working with individuals with a disability
  • Experience of dealing with challenging behaviour
  • Effective communication skills
