The Lyric Theatre’s Scenic Workshop opened in 2021 to deliver set construction for Lyric Theatre Productions. We work with some of the leading designers working in theatre today to realise their visions on the Lyric Stage. Our ambition is to become a wider resource for the theatre sector in Northern Ireland and to be leaders in sustainable set construction.
We are looking to build our roster of freelance contractors across all scenic departments including carpentry, metal work / welding, fabrication, and scenic art. Most of the work will be carried out in the workshop in Mallusk, however occasional work in the theatre spaces will also be required.
