Michael Wilson’s spoken word show about growing up queer in Northern Ireland being out in Manchester and the experiences of the LGBTQI+ Community in Northern Ireland

Michael Wilson is a nationally awarded published performance poet. His writing freewheels round the tried and trusted subjects of sex drugs and rock n’ dole. His first book, Bedlam’s Best and Finest was published by Eyewear Press and was performed across the UK and Canada, including a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival where it gained a 5 star review from Bouquets and Brickbats. Michael is an avid slammer winning multiple slams at regional, national and competed at international level, representing Ireland in the Euro Poetry Slam last year, coming 4th and qualifying for his first World Slam Cup in September this year. Michael often performs using BSL and raises awareness into mental health and wellbeing. He is above all, a confessional poet. He frequently uses science as metaphor, particularly astrophysics. He lives in Portstewart, Northern Ireland
