Events & Digital Marketing Administrator – closing 31 May

A thriving flagship heritage building which is the main hub for arts and culture in east Belfast and as such delivers positive social benefits to its diverse audience.

Strand Arts Centre is a multi-artform arts centre with cinema facilities which is housed in N.I.’s oldest picture house. We deliver a diverse programme of arts events and activities that support artists, performers and facilitators whilst inspiring, educating and encouraging increased engagement in the arts and creative industries by the east Belfast community.

Strand Arts Centre is creating an exciting new full-time position for an individual to enter, or progress within, the arts sector. You will be line-managed and mentored by the Strand’s Marketing Manager and will also work closely with, and receive support from, our Programme, Heritage, Operations and Front of House Managers. This role will give you the chance not just to develop marketing skills and experience, but also to learn about the wider organisation and contribute to its overall success.

The organisation is looking for someone with a passion for film, arts and community. The marketing and management tasks involve attracting, co-creating and coordinating events for community groups, charities and corporates whose objectives vary between fundraising, awareness raising or morale-building. Meeting these clients’ objectives through creative or cultural activities will demonstrate the value of the arts and undoubtedly result in both greater levels of cultural engagement by individuals as well as further cross-sectoral collaborations.

Working hours: 37.5 hours across a 5 day week, primarily based at Strand Arts Centre
Remuneration: £20,000 per annum plus 3% employer’s pension contribution
Annual Leave: 28 days including statutory holidays
Closing Date: Tuesday 31st May at 5pm
Interviews will take place on: Friday 10th June
