This is part of an ongoing process of consultation and engagement and your views will help finalise the document.

The aim of Music Matters is to support the stabilisation and post Covid-19 recovery of the music sector in Belfast. Belfast was awarded UNESCO City of Music in November 2021, celebrating the city’s rich musical heritage and recognising the importance of music to its future. The vision is to support musicians and those working in music with the development of their talent and ideas, whilst embedding music and access to it in all parts of the City.

Belfast City Council want you to have your say and are keen to keep this conversation going by:

Taking part in our consultation events

We are hosting a range of in-person and online events across Belfast. These are:

  • Friday 27 May, 10am – 12noon – Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich, 216 Falls Rd, Belfast BT12 6AH
  • Wednesday 1 June, 10am – 12noon – Oh Yeah Music Centre, 15-21 Gordon St, Belfast BT1 2LG
  • Thursday 16 June, 2pm – 4pm – The Duncairn,  Duncairn Ave, Belfast BT14 6BP
  • Tuesday 21 June, 2pm – 4pm – 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast BT1 1DA
  • Wednesday 22 June, 10am – 12noon – Vault Studios, 4-84 Tower St, Belfast BT5 4FH

Plus two online sessions, namely:

  • 27th June at 1pm – 2pm
  • 29th June at 1pm – 2pm
