Our Place in Space, the inspirational 10km riverside sculpture trail replicating our solar system, opened last Friday in Derry-Londonderry.
The epic scale model, designed by the artist and author Oliver Jeffers with astrophysicist Professor Stephen Smartt and a creative team led by the Nerve Centre, is free to visit and also features an augmented reality app, live events, a leaning programme, and a new book by Jeffers to be published in the autumn.
Our Place in Space continues until 22 May in Derry-Londonderry, before travelling to Belfast (11 June 10 July) and North Down (17 September 16 October).
Our Place in Space is Northern Ireland’s project for Unboxed, the £120m government-backed celebration of creativity across the UK.
