Outdoor Theatre Season – Summer 2022 – June to July

An exciting new outdoor theatre programme supported by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council takes place for the first time across the district this summer from 21 June – 23 July 2022.  Performances take place in 6 different venues in outdoor settings in towns and villages. The whole family can pack up a picnic to enjoy while watching a fabulous, top quality open air show.

The shows are:

David Walliams’ ‘Awful Auntie’, a truly thrilling tale of Stella and her menacing Aunt as she saves the family home –  suitable for 7 years upwards

Classic novel ‘Jane Eyre’ by Charlotte Bronte, where we follow the heroine through her many ordeals, using the backdrop of a carnival, as she escapes from her aunt’s house, her school, the fire, the moors, and finally finds safety with her true love, Mr Rochester – suitable for 10 years upwards

Shakespeare’s ‘Twelfth Night’ wraps up the themes of obsessive love and its subterfuges in a Love Island meets Big Brother package – suitable for 8 years upwards

Much Ado About Murder’ by Peter Mimmac, an original murder mystery which sets five suspects under the spotlight- will the audience find answers?  – suitable for 10 years upwards

In an enchanted kingdom in a faraway land, magical creatures and fairy godmothers come together to tell the best loved of all fairytales ‘Cinderella‘ – suitable for 4 years upwards

Perenial classic ‘Pride and Prejudice‘ has mistakes and miscommunications. Can Elizabeth finally surpass her prejudices to see past the proud exterior of the enigmatic Mr Darcy? – suitable for 12 years upwards

  • Friday 15 July – Awful Auntie – 6pm
  • Friday 22 July – Jane Eyre – 7.30pm

Bawnacre Centre

  • Saturday 16 July – Awful Auntie – 4.30pm
  • Saturday 23 July – Jane Eyre – 7.30pm

Castle Park Leisure Centre

  • Sunday 17 July – Awful Auntie – 12 noon & 4.30pm

Omagh Leisure Centre

  • Thursday 14 July – Twelfth Night – 7.30pm
