Arts Care – Artist In Residence Roles – Expression of Interest – closing 20 June

Background and Context

Arts Care is a leading regional Arts, Health and Well-being organisation based in Northern Ireland that delivers a wide range of innovative and impactful participatory art projects and events into the heart of health, social and community care services. The Arts Care Artist In Residence Programme has been running since the formation of Arts Care in 1992, there are currently 23 Artist In Residence roles in place within the 5 Health and Social Care Trusts across the region. Everyday our highly skilled team of Artists In Residence deliver a range of innovative arts projects into numerous designated Health and Social Care services and out into the community.

  • Hospital Services
  • Hospice
  • Brain Trauma Services
  • Community Services

  • Staff and Student Education and Training Services

Arts Care are looking for outstanding professional artists to join the Artist In Residence team:

  • Visual Artist based in the South Eastern Trust (Down and Lisburn)
    64 days at £150 per day, contract until 31st March 2023
    (2 days per week for 32 weeks)
  • Musician based in South Eastern Trust (Ards, North Down, Down and Lisburn)
    32 days at £150 per day, contract until 31st March 2023
    (1 day per week for 32 weeks)
  • Visual Artist based in the Southern Trust (Newry and Mourne Area)
    38 days @£150 per day, contract until 31st March 2023
    (approx. 1 day per week for 38 weeks)
  • Visual Artist based in Western Trust (Omagh and Fermanagh Area)
    37 days at £150 per day, contract until 31st March 2023
    (approx. 1 day per week for 37 weeks)
  • Musician based in Northern Trust (Antrim and Newtownabbey, Causeway Coast and Glens, Mid and East Antrim and Mid Ulster Areas)
    43 days at £150 per day, contract until 31st March 2023
    (approx. 1 day per week for 43 weeks)
