We were on our way to Something Part 2 – Leontia Haldenby and Kim Montgomery – to 31 July

We were on our way to Something is a dual autobiographical visual journey which was begun in 2004 by artists Leontia Haldenby and Kim Montgomery. Both are Fine and Applied Art graduates from Belfast School of Art, Ulster University, and in this exhibition they construct parallel narratives through drawing, painting and collage.

They address themes including collective and shared memory, imagination, and identity as emerging artists and mothers. The mutual dreamscape of New York City exists for both artists as a motif of aspiration and freedom and serves as a reflector of self identity and emergence, contrasting who they were then, and who they are now.

Venue: Down Arts Centre, 2-6 Irish Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6BP
Dates: 1st July- 31st July
