Marketing Assistant – HMS Caroline – 30 Oct

HMS Caroline is the last survivor of the Battle of Jutland still afloat and has had a long and interesting life. Open to the public as a museum and heritage attraction since 2016 and an Art Fund finalist in 2019, this iconic ship is an asset to Belfast’s cultural landscape. HMS Caroline has been closed since March 2020 but we are excited to be reopening the ship to the public once again.

This is an exciting time for the ship as we are looking for innovative and creative ways to continue to tell the story of the ship, and to drive financial stability. These improvements will sustain this wonderful ship for many years to come.

The organisation is looking to recruit to the new position of Marketing Assistant to support the Business Development Manager and Marketing team in the planning, delivery, and administration of a wide range of marketing activities.

Key Opportunities

  • You will be heavily involved in marketing the re-opening of the ship and contributing to financial performance
  • Supporting all marketing activity including campaigns, publications, events, digital and PR.

Knowledge/Experience

We are looking for someone with experience in working in Marketing at an Assistant level (or similar) or would be willing to consider applications from individuals looking for their first role in Marketing, but through other experience or study, have knowledge of the fundamentals in Marketing principles.

  • Excellent creative, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applications should be competent operating Windows-based software
  • Ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to write creative and engaging content
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Tthe organisation provides
