Nothing But A Curtain – Zula Rabikowska & Vera Hadzhiyska – 2 Feb to 25 Mar

Belfast Exposed is delighted to announce Nothing But A Curtain, by artist Zula Rabikowska & curator Vera Hadzhiyska, as the first of our Futures Curator Award exhibitions.

Running from Thursday 2nd February to Saturday 25th March 2023, Rabikowska’s work is a multi-media journey through the former Eastern Bloc. The work features a mix of photographs, moving image, archival images & documents and installations, combined to document the experiences of women, non-binary, genderfluid and transgender people, born following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

Futures Curator Vera Hadzhiyska worked with Rabikowska on the development of Nothing But A Curtain and has described it as a challenge to traditional, linear documentary convention that creates a dialogue through a ‘plurality of voices’.

Join us on Thursday 2nd February from 18:00 for the exhibition’s launch – alongside Anthony Luvera’s She / Her / Hers / Herself – as part of Late Night Art.
