This is a recording of O Holy Night which Open Arts produced during the final rehearsal of the year – OA hopes you enjoy it, especially the ‘peculiar’ notes, aka ‘number 4s’!
For our VIPs, here is a brief description of the video:
Opening title: “O Holy Night played on the Open Arts Gamelan”
A backdrop of the night sky with many stars, including one particularly big star in the top left, is pictured throughout the video. This is overlaid with semi-opaque images of the Gamelan instruments used in the recording, ie sarons (xylophone-type instruments) and kenongs (large upside-down pots), plus an open beater box showing all the various gamelan beaters within.
The video ends with the following text over Open Arts’ blue logo: “Merry Christmas from the Open Arts Gamelan Players, Arthur, Bonnie, Caitriona, Delia, John and Bev”
