Belfast 2024 – Round Table Sessions – (2 Sessions) – 27 Feb

Belfast 2024 is an ambitious creative celebration for our city next year. We will present a wide-ranging programme of creative local projects, events and city initiatives. We are inviting expressions of interest from the creative and civic sectors to commission a host of ideas, projects and events that we will develop with the city over the next year and present as part of our creative programme for Belfast 2024.

Open call for creative programme ideas is now open: BCC is excited to give an opportunity to support bid ideas, imagination and ambition to create this celebratory year of creativity for Belfast. There are three stages in this first open call. For stages 1 and 2, bidders must submit a form on Council’s eSourcing. Successful bidders from these stages will receive funding to develop their idea to a full project plan in stage 3. The closing date for stages 1 and 2 is Wednesday 8 March 2023.

Want to share your ideas/find potential collaborators & partners/ get some creative conversations going? Join BCC for the final Round Table Sessions @ 2 Royal Avenue …

There have been pen Clinics to hear about your ideas on a one to one basis and there has been an excitement generated regarding the ambition and range of ideas the city has brought to us already.

There is now an offer of the opportunity for people to come together for some collective conversations and thinking at the Belfast 2024 Round Table Sessions at 2 Royal Avenue. These sessions aim to collaboratively brainstorm ideas, explore the main themes of Belfast 2024, hear how you are finding the process so far and potentially link you in with collaborators or partners that can help you bring your idea to life for 24.

There are 2 more Belfast 2024 Round Table sessions planned with capacity for 40 people at each session:

Monday 27 February – 11 am – 1 pm OR 4 – 6 pm – @2 Royal Avenue

Both sessions will be following the same fluid format of open discussions at themed tables focussed on our principles of People, Place and Planet….. you can join any of them or all of them, the purpose is to get all the people who have ideas and want to submit to Open Call together to see how we can collaborate, inspire and find solutions for the ideas that are coming through to come to fruition in 2024.

Let us know by emailing your preferred date/time you’d like to attend Open Call Roundtables to Belfast2024@belfastcity.gov.uk by Friday 24th February.

There will also be collective online sessions for Q&A’s on the Open Call process before the submission deadline via Teams:

Friday 3 March: 2 – 3pm and then again 4:30 – 5:30pm
