We are delighted to announce the first exhibition opening of our new arts science research project centred on pollinators in N.I. will open on Late Night Art 2nd March 6-9pm, to coincide with the first week of Spring.
Pollin8 explores the ecological systems underpinning current wild native and domestic pollinator conservation. The exhibition is informed by a series of interviews carried out with local beekeepers, pollinator researchers and policy makers as part of this ongoing research project.
Expect large scale pollinator sculptures, natural fibre art, illustration and research-driven video collage.
Come on down for a fantastical group show with work from Aimée Magee, Stephen Gillanders, Xavier Mercadé Costa, Jasmin Märker and Katie Barrett.
Creative art science workshops will also be held open to all on Saturday 4th March 11am – 4pm.
Explore the wet felting technique to create your own fluffy pollinators as a reminder of caring for our native species and use natural clay to create seed bombs of wildflowers native to Ireland to support our local biodiversity.
