Help Musicians and the Musicians’ Union have launched the first ever census to help support and represent musicians in the UK. While some studies on elements of the musicians’ population exist, there is a lack of comprehensive data relating to musicians’ lives as a whole (covering demographics, diversity, health and wellbeing, and variety of working patterns). The census, which will be repeated every 3-5 years, will help organisations plan how best to represent, advocate for and support musicians in future years.
The census consists of a short anonymous online questionnaire. Every musician in the UK is encouraged to complete the census.
