GEPPETTO – Family Friendly Theatre – 26, 27 and 28 May

“Come and join us for this lighthearted, whimsical adventure into the story before the story!”

Geppetto can fix anything but his life has become small and very lonely. He spends his days pottering in his forgotten repair shop, half-heartedly fixing broken things, never quite getting to the bottom of the pile. However, amidst the once loved but now discarded items, the oldest, most forgotten thing in the shop is Geppetto.

One stormy night a mysterious visitor arrives who causes havoc by bringing Geppetto’s broken things to life; a lamp suddenly has a mind of its own, a radio plays his favourite song, and a Hoover is determined to cause trouble. With his life turned upside down and his shop in chaos Geppetto slowly begins to make friends with this mysterious visitor and steps into a world full of fun and laughter.

He has a new friend and finds hope again. But as we leave Geppetto, the mysterious visitor has one last gift to bestow – one story’s end is just another story’s beginning…

Geppetto is non-verbal and features physical comedy, mime, puppetry and music. This fun and hilarious new production is suitable for children aged 4yrs + and is supported by Belfast City Council, Halifax Foundation and Arts Council NI.
