Head of Development – Belfast Photo Festival – (Part-Time) – closing 16 May

Belfast Photo Festival is a pioneering organization, bringing the largest annual festival of photography to the UK / Ireland, and now an annual two-day creative industries festival focusing on the intersection of creativity and technology (RENDR). Being a charity with big ambitions, the organisation aims to hold a year-round tourable programme, with plans to bring the unique offerings to new parts of the country.

Since 2011, the international Belfast Photo Festival has attracted over 100 thousand visitors a year, celebrating some of the finest national and international contemporary photography across museums, galleries, public spaces and building facades. The Festival consists of exhibitions, talks, workshops, screenings and tours designed to appeal to a broad range of audiences.

Launched in 2020, the international RENDR Festival presents a unique nocturnal experience, celebrating creative craft and artistry, exploring the space between creativity and technology. With 30+ speakers from the worlds of film, gaming, animation, immersive and more, the event attracts creatives from the likes of Lucasfilm, Netflix, Warner Bros and Pixar among others. It represents a new home for the creative industries nationally and internationally.

About the Post

Working closely with the Curator / CEO, the Head of Development will have an important voice on organizational strategy and business development, funding partnerships and financial planning on local and international projects. We are seeking someone with strong experience in strategy and income generation, as well as a love of the arts and creative industries, with a passion and belief in the power of art and creativity to catalyse positive change in the world.

We are particularly interested in applications from people who are ambitious, forward thinking and up for the challenge of exploring new ways of doing business that echo the ethos of the two festivals and the people we work with.
