Abandoned Moments: A Love Letter to Photography – 18 May

Join Belfast Exposed on Thursday, 18th May, for an exclusive Artist Talk and Book Signing with world-renowned photojournalist and filmmaker, Ed Kashi.

Kashi’s latest book, Abandoned Moments: A Love Letter to Photography, features images taken during his globe-spanning, 40-year career. It showcases photography’s power to capture passing moments in the chaos of everyday life and, in contrast to his journalistic approach that focuses on keen observation and connection with the subject, this collection captures the untamed energy of a moment with abandon. Hear Kashi talk about both the book and his career, which has seen him cover topics ranging from the impact of oil in Nigeria, the protestant community in Northern Ireland, the lives of Jewish settlers in the West Bank, climate change and the plight of Syrian refugees.

What is more, Abandoned Moments will be on sale during the event and Kashi will be available to sign copies.
